Sadly we report the death of our Chiang Mai International Cricket Sixes Chairman of the past 3 years. Bryan had been battling cancer for some while and had in fact been given an all-clear, but as seems to happen so often it returned with a vengeance and Bryan died on Monday July 25, having managed to celebrate his 68th birthday on the Friday before. Although Bryan didn't appear at many Sixes' events he always kept our interests at heart and was instrumental in helping the Sixes behind the scenes whenever he could. To those of us who knew him, he was always a true and good hearted friend, full of life and good humour, and committed to Thailand. He had arrived here in the late 70's to run Castrol Thailand. This he did with great success. And for this and for his public spirited efforts as a member and past President of Rotary, the British Chamber of Commerce, and more, he was awarded the OBE.Our sincere condolences to his wife Orin, and to his children.
A wreath has been sent to the funeral from the Chiang Mai Sixes. A memorial service is to be held at Christ Church, Convent Road, Bangkok, on Saturday August 6th.
