There are a few changes to the committee for the 2004 Sixes. Finally we
have someone in charge of the Social Side who knows what he is doing - the ‘Hammock’ takes over ... Terry Skillett
having retired from his role as captain and organiser of the Ios Malakas has agreed to take on the role of Social Events organiser.
Tom & Dot Delaney have asked to ‘retire’ from
managing the Sixes Bar and we thank them most profusely for their major contributions of bringing sanity, order and professionalism
to the running of the bar over the past three years. Stepping into the breach to manage the bar this year at least is regular
Sixes Committee Member Marc Dumur who many will know already -- Marc has also’retired’ in a sense, having left
his job as G.M. at the Amari Rincome with the intention of building and operating a Serviced Apartment project here in Chiang
Mai with his wife Khun Luxami.
Over at the Tourism Authority office in Chiang Mai, our long time friend and TAT representative
Khun Visoot Baucham has moved on to greater things as Deputy Directorof the Tak office. So we are very happy to welcome his
succesor Khun Duangchai as the new TAT Representative on the Sixes Committee.
