- A change in the Batter Retired rule. As before a batsman retires
on reaching a score of 30. However NOW , that will be the end of his
innings, he will not be able to return and resume his innings.
- Changes in the Points Awarded for Match Results. In all divisions
of play, the following new points system will operate:
- 3 pts for a Win
- 2 pts to each side for a Draw (and a draw will now be simplified
as both teams having the same total scores - extras included)
- 1 pt. to a Losing side fielding second and completing at least
4 Overs.
- 1 pt. to a Losing side batting second and reaching 80% of opponents
score .
- 0 pts for other losing sides.
- 1 BONUS POINT will be awarded to any side scoring 90 runs or more,
or taking 6 wickets in a match (2 pts if both are achieved in the
same match).
- In the SPOON by popular demand (well, somebody fancied it), we will
return to the 4 extras awarded for a WIDE ball and no extra ball bowled
except if the wide occurs on the last ball of an over.
