Once again it is with pride that the city and people of Chiang Mai play host to the Chiang Mai International Cricket Sixes, and Sixes Sawasdee Cup. Fifteen years is a long time in anyone's life, so it is especially impressive that you have chosen to hold this tournament for so many years in northern Thailand, and that many of you have returned to visit us for all those years. We hope your friendship and loyalty to Chiang Mai will endure for many more years to come.

We thank the participants, sponsors, and organizers of the Sixes for the contributions you have made to the well being of our city and province. Apart from the welcome tourist business you bring with you every year, we recognise the donations you have made in the past to the work of UNICEF in northern Thailand, and the funding of a program introducing junior cricket to Thai schoolchildren in Chiang Mai. There are too, instances of individual help and kindness towards our Thai guides and others helping with the tournament.

It is a happy occasion for me to welcome you all again to Chiang Mai. I hope you will enjoy another memorable tournament, and an enjoyable holiday!
