It is with very great pleasure that I welcome cricketers, officials, and their families and friends to Chiang Mai in this, the 15th year of the Chiang Mai International Cricket Sixes. I am also delighted to note that this will be the third year of the Sawasdee Cup, a competition for local school teams. It has been through the generosity of the Sixes and its participants that a program of teaching junior cricket to local school children has begun to flourish in Chiang Mai. Well done, and thank you for your efforts.

Congratulations and thanks are also due once again to the organizers, sponsors, suppliers and advertisers of the Chiang Mai Sixes. You continue to make this non-profit, amateur event not only possible each year, but actually growing and improving. Chiang Mai is extremely grateful for the contributions you make in helping to spread the fame of our city around the world, and in encouraging so many regular sporting visitors!
