 On
behalf of the people and city administration of Chiang Mai may I extend
a very warm welcome to everyone taking part in the 15th Chiang Mai International
Cricket Sixes and 3rd Sixes Sawasdee Cricket Cup. It is one of the joys
of becoming Mayor that among the many challenges and opportunities to improve
the city, one is lucky to inherit association with successful events that
are already established! And I am very pleased to say that the Sixes is
one such success, and a great international credit to Chiang Mai.
I understand that this year's event at the beautiful Gymkhana Club grounds will be the biggest to date. It is surely a tribute to the participants, organizers and sponsors, and I hope to the famous attractions and hospitality of Chiang Mai, that the Sixes has grown and become such an international success story year after year. Congratulations and thanks are due to Sixes participants for your contributions to the efforts made by Chiang Mai Schools Cricket Alliance to bring the sport of cricket to children in our local schools. The 3rd Sixes Sawasdee Cup is just one example of the success of that program. Finally, may I add my own best wishes to you all for a great week of friendship and sport. Stay healthy and have fun!
