As usually the Drifters tiring equipment seems to be malfunctioning again.... It seems the Drifters’ radar is down, as most Drifters seem to be off it.

Jon Pike

On his nth CM tour of duty, just like his age, nobody knows !! After a couple of overseas reckies to BKK with Lord Hall, this old timer is like a fine wine and maturing excellently with age. Looking forward to transferring his knowledge, and wit to all opposing captains.

Alan ‘Tubby’ Jenner

On his 9th CM tour of duty. This year Tubby is fully fit and raring to go, and the team may need his steady bowling. Convenient injuries are not on the Drifters menu this year. So Tubby needs to be careful whether on the pitch or cruising the streets and bars after hours on his Duccati.

Lord Hall

On his 8th CM tour of duty, and just returned from a pre-tournament netting session in BKK with Pikey. He thinks his liver and kidneys are still just functioning after that session, but fears parts of them may be left in Soi Cowboy. Has been asked to maybe have a bowling stint in the tournament, so may have to pass the gloves to another Drifter.

Neil Howe

On his 4th CM tour of duty. There have been rumours that Mr Howe will be gracing the circuits of Chiang Mai once more, lets hope it’s more successful than his car racing career. The Drifters will need some of  Mr. Howe’s big hitting to keep pace in the games. Not sure on his bowling shoulder, so may have to take the gloves.

Martin Papworth

For the last few tournaments we have had the services of local man Martin and he has been a steadying influence in the Drifters bowling department. Martin is at the ground first thing and still seen there at dusk, and he works tirelessly for the Sawasdee cricket programme. So we hope that we will have his services once more.

Dave Walker

Due to the lack of Drifter commitments and as a very last resort, we may need to recruit a retired Drifter….. Luckily now ‘Our Man in Chiang Mai’ has been re-built in the form of a new blue titanium Robocop hip, and we may need his new super powers…..
