Andrew ( Speddo ) Spedding – Well the man returns with his best mate in tow. His mate being the ever dependable Jack (Daniels). Speddo has stepped down from the top league here in Bangkok this year to allow the youngsters to have a run however he reckons he has stepped up a grade to compete in any 6s comp in the region. This bloke can bat, can bowl but can't field though hey, there's 5 other blokes to do that he reckons. Still having nightmares over that last ball of the game he bowled that went sailing over the bar giving the Floggers and Robbers a 1 win victory 2 years ago?
Nathan ( Muay Thai ) Kincaid – A new athletic type new recruit to the Southerners. Quite out of the norm these days though the club needs to look to the future. Handy Aussie Rules player as well so is well versed with after game festivities in all codes. Has a friend called Aggots but we don't ask why. Handy with the bat and throws them down ok. Will be fielding near Speddo to help with the ball chasing. Loves his camera.
Andrew ( The Poose ) Purser – We used to have a big Kiwi in the shape of "Mossy the Moose" , though this Kiwi is much bigger. Can hit the ball and hit it far without much footwork. Not sure about his bowling though he does know to aim for the green stuff. Fields in slips all day in the 40 over games so maybe a rude awakening when we won't have a slips cordon and he has to run around. Good old fashioned fella who likes the ale as well
Jamie ( Lord Lucan ) Cutbill – There was a snap heard in a recent league game and a legend fell to the ground. Those important strings holding his knees together had gone but the man was not………onto rehab, into the pool and even more time in the gym. The pocket rocket English gent returns for yet another week of flat batting cover drives and whippet like running around the field (doing Speedos' work!).The stalwart returns and a bung knee will not stop him having a top week on all fields.
Carl ( Skip ) Taylor – A possible return to the killing fields is on for Skipper 3s. So much fun and great cricket last year, he maybe back. Newly promoted to lead the Southerners Thirsty Thirds this year in the league, the weight on his shoulders has been enormous though he has come thru with beers sales tripled and top of the table position…..and leading the points table! Always keen and always there.
Won Poor Sole – This bloke will make up the 6 required to be competitive. Learnt his cricket somewhere in Asia though recently has not been seen on the field. A keen competitor and always keener with the drink.
