2008 Team Photo

The 2009 squad is a combination of Romany CC and Sussex Martlets CC.
 
Paul Lack – Captain. Now on his 10th consecutive Chiang Mai Sixes with Romany, Jack Frost and Ashwell, including getting to the giddy heights of the grand final three years ago.  He has also played for Surrey Vagrants and Romany in the Sixes at Sarasota, Florida, Morocco, Portugal and the Vienna Indoor Sixes. He is also a member of the Sussex Martlets.
 
Neil Billing – Vice Captain. Another experienced Chiang Mai campaigner who has also played in the Sarasota Sixes, well known for his "recommendations" and survival on two hours sleep a night!  Useful military medium bowler who likes to open the batting.  One recommendation too far I expect!  Has also played for the Sussex Martlets.
 
Clive Greirson. A third time Chiang Mai trip for our experienced tourist and wicket keeper.  As one of three keepers in the squad, will inevitably have to bowl, which could be interesting.  Another member of the ageing youth policy employed by Romany and no doubt his stamina at Foxy's and The Spotlight will bolster the team's fortunes.
 
Ollie Youll. The second time in Chiang Mai for Ollie and we are looking forward to him making our runs.  He has already booked his flight for next year on the recommendation of our Vice Captain.
 
Martin Corbett. A regular Romany player who has also played for the Sussex Martlets.  He is our all rounder and also a Chiang Mai virgin.  Martin is due to be married on his return from the tour with the condition that he will be allowed to regularly attend Chiang Mai from now on!
 
John Batley. A Chiang Mai virgin who has just returned from the Combined Services tour of Namibia and so should be in the runs!  Yet another of our wicket keepers, which is very useful in Sixes!  Unfortunately he has to leave on Thursday for a wedding and will miss the best part of the week.
 
Tim Peters. A Sussex Martlets member who hails from the South Coast so is accustomed to the heat!  A Chiang Mai virgin and our main strike bowler.  Thankfully he is not a wicket keeper!
 
Nick Carlino. Nick is a CMAI VIRGIN and had to wait until his wife gave birthday until last week to get his ticket!  Told his wife he has just nipped out to the supermarket for some baby feed but got delayed so he is now in the Spotlight waiting to get some new clothes for the babe!
