Darrell Mepham - “MONSTER” " Tour No.10. Forget Warnie " Darrell was embroiled in the biggest mobile phone scandal to rock the world  in 2008. He has made himself available for team selection despite his advancing years and a few niggly injuries. We can only hope that he builds on the platform of cricketing skills that he laid last year. His ability as a cricketer in best described as Bradman-like (should be dead & buried).  Will be strongly advised to stick  to the team curfew to maximize his performances on the field.

Stan Spink - “HUMPTY” " Tour No.9. Stan will take on a more active on-field role on this tour. Is right into the retirement mode at home, but needs to bring a focused attitude in regards his cricket. People are expecting big things from Stan, but unfortunately people have expected big things from Stan before and have gone home disappointed.  He has been working hard on bowling in the general direction of the stumps, but we will just have to wait and see.

Grant Jones - “GRUNTER” " Tour No.6. After a three year absence, Grant has returned for another shot at Chiang Mai glory. Some pundits have Grant in the best cricketing form of his career, which could be a little harsh because he hasn’t been involved in any aspect of the game for the same period. Grant could be described as one of the senior members of the touring group but that would imply he actually has some cricketing ability, so we will just say he is a good tourist who enjoys watching the cricket. Passport...check - Tickets... check " Cricketing Ability...??? (Held up in customs).

Peter Thompson " “THOMMO” " Tour No.5. Thommo was the Maythai’s leading run scorer last year so we expect more of the same this year. Let’s hope last years performances were not a flash in the pan.  Recently returned from location shooting the new Star Wars film, where master Yoda uses “the force” to get more beers after closing time. Not sure where his best fielding position is, but his suggestion of a stool in the bar will probably be overlooked.

Keith Roddom " “CHEF” - Tour No.3. Keith tours Chiang Mai for his third consecutive year, and with a prior engagement already on the books in Phuket “short-time Chef” will be in and out of Chiang Mai before you have a chance to blink. I am sure he will make his presence felt despite his early departure. Is heading to Phuket for a dragon boat competition, but really he’s no Captain Bligh, more Fletcher Christian, because after all Fletcher did drink all the rum.

David Barrett " “SMASH” " Tour No.3. Smash is touring again as one of the few genuine cricketers in the Maythai team. Will have a big load to carry as he has Humpty, Chef, Monster and Thommo in his ranks. We may need to rename him Hercules if they have any success on the field. He will need to be at peak fitness to carry this burden of expectation. I am not sure if Smash has ever been any where near peak fitness in his life. Good Luck, you’ll need it.

John Jabbour " “JOHNNO” " Tour Virgin. Forget Giorgio Armani " this is the man behind the clothing that has made the Warathais the fashion icons of the sixes world. Another tour rookie, John claims his friendship with Hagar should stand us in good stead with any dubious decision, but word on the street is that Hagar, should he umpire a Maythais game, will have the finger raised long before John makes the crease.

David Madden " “SALT” " Tour Virgin. Salt is a new recruit who is a bit of an unknown. Is mainly here to improve his golf handicap but will definitely be needed to put the pads on at some stage. Will be poorly advised on this tour by Wokka, so I hope he makes it home in one piece.
