2008 Team Photo of Lords Taverners
Dom “PomDom” Bryan. 9th Chiang Mai trip for this veteran Pommy CBB'er. Some players, like fine wine, get better with age. Not Dom ! Shaking off both the tax man and a bad back to attend, he will be pleased to be escaping Viking's observations on the pitch with the mike this year. You can expect Dom to be leading from the front again off the pitch at least!
Glenn “Scratcher” O’Brien. A Lord Taverner who has been joining the fun of the Chiang Mai Sixes for many years. A rare gentleman, however must this year guide the Postels in the path of the Taverner way! Known to be the quiet part of causing chaos at the SugarShack and other fine establishments out and about in Chiang Mai.
Brian “Flemo” Shaw.
Comes to Chiang Mai with the hope that his usual stalker will not be able to find him. Is a diamond expert and prepared to pass on his know how to any special person in Chiang Mai. Plays good solid cricket and will add dimensions to the Postels this year.
“Little” Dave Applin. 5th tour for this Pommy all-rounder and you can't keep this boy away now he's got the taste. Rumoured to have bought shares in the Foxy Lady to watch the day's cricket on the big screen of course! Hopefully his golfing ability will rub off onto the cricket field but don't hold your breath!
Brett Cole.
Played Phuket Sixes 2008 Country of birth is New Zealand.
He is also called B.C. Right handed batsman and also medium/slow bowler.
Plays for Weraroa Cricket Club, Levin, New Zealand.
His favourite Shot is Cow Corner for two. He is most famous for being able to sell a boys night out to any punter. Will find him at the closest place selling nice cold beer!
Andrew Beeley.
Hails from the UK and Phuket. A very keen player who loves a laugh, a chat, a good time and especially a good game of cricket. Recently had success from being in the Cup Winning CBB team at the Philippine Sixes and playing an important part with the ball.
Tim Caimakamis.
Joins us from Newcastle, Australia, via the Greek Islands. Loves a chat, enjoys the hard game, especially when out at night discussing the wonders of Greece! Also happens to be a part of spreading the wonderful game of cricket all over the world.
Postels Supporters!
Dave ' Fish ' Salmon. 9th tour for the Fish who you will find in the Postels tent giggling into his beer at his mates expense though sooner or later he's going to get fielding duties, though I’ve said that for the last 8 years ! Hopes to manage more than 15 mins a night in the Shack this year without returning to his room to die of food poisoning!
Jim 'Mine's a Mekong' Jeffries. 6th Tour for Jimbo who will be found alongside the Fish in the Postels tent supplementing the Thai cigar, whisky and beer industry. Jim arrives in fine shape this year following a double shoulder operation so good to see him back after a stressful year.
Paul 'Buggy' Piper. Paul returns for his 3rd tour and makes up the trio of Pommy Postels who will build their daily tinny mountains in the tent! Paul is usually Jim's official
golf buggy driver but as Jim can’t play this year he is available for hire by anyone with a decent supply of Guinness!
