Ross “Retired” Ormiston. Not just retired but tired. Hoping that the new recruits can carry him through for the 5th year in a row.
Jonathan “Gloves” Pereira. Returning for the 5th time which is monumental effort given the his injury and medical record in or as a result of Chiang Mai. Keeper of both the faith and wickets for the Felons. The “Divine Felons” owe their name in large part to JP who nearly became a priest but changed his mind at the last minute and became a lawyer instead!
Peter “The Chancellor” Watson. A veteran of 3 previous tournaments. Through attrition he is now the youngest member of the Felons so will be expected to carry the rest of the squad through the week. Judging by previous efforts this should not be a problem off the field but can he repeat the efforts of Year 1 on the field or has the hospitality industry taken its toll?
Asif “You da Man!”. Our man from Kashmir has been a life-saver for the Felons in previous tournaments. Last year he was our star turn with bat and ball. Still the purveyor of the finest genuine Kashmir carpets in the world, anyone who is in need of some “brownie points” upon their return home or has a wife/partner who isn’t yet convinced about the merits of playing cricket in Chiang Mai should talk to Asif – one of his superb carpets will do all the talking!
Peter “Puku” Sainsbury. Has missed the last 2 year’s Sixes because he was in the middle of moving and settling his family in to New York. As the largest member of the Felons, Peter’s particular skill is his uncanny ability to find the closest eating and drinking establishment at the end of the day’s play!
Keith “Kes” Roscoe. First visit to Chiang Mai we are not sure how he will deal with the local beer and frivolities. Recently retired Lancashire League legend who is one of a select few to have taken over 1000 Lancashire League wickets during a stellar career which also included short stints at Somerset and Gloucestershire.
Rob “The Robinator” Orange. A Commercial Banker by occupation, Rob’s presence on the tour will almost certainly mean that the Felons have more money to spend at the Boundary Bar this year! Rob was on standby as a late replacement for the Felons at last year’s tournament so he is literally bursting with excitement and anticipation at the prospect of “playing” in Chiang Mai this year. We’re pretty sure it won’t take him long to find some “relief” for his condition! Rob’s “probing” slow-medium deliveries will also test the opposition batsmen but it’s when he has his “bat” in hand that he is at his most dangerous!
