Steve Harpley
Harpo: Big and quick, knackered after three overs, so should be OK with 6 balls only. Upset that the slip position is redundant in 6 a-sides. Been with Avorians CC for 2 years. Still to make a name with the bat. Party trick on all fours – must be seen. Could be a tour virgin.
Stuart Tomlinson
One of the nicer more intelligent guys – no sledging. Always polite on pitch – that could alter. After season with Avorians questionable opening bat but found to be a wicket taker. Looking forward to the Chiang Mai pub crawl.
Ben Kingsnorth
Youngest member on the tour. Known as the Heartthrob of Cobham Avorians. Very good opening bat and keeper. Performing in India immediately prior to Chiang Mai so should be in good form.
Norman Stickland
Yet another ‘Stormin Norman'. Legend in his own lifetime. Still talks a good game and may captain Avorians 3rd XI if enough players can be persuaded to listen to him. Possibly one of the richer men in Surrey. Biggest worry three attractive daughters.
Robbie Armur
Avorians keeper but only able to play for Avorians from time to time because he is ‘in love' and said to be ‘under the thumb'. Based in Ireland – must be making a fortune having failed in UK.
Graham Crawford
Shirley to his limited number of friends. Great but declining talent with bat and ball. Could have been a male model but didn't want his gender questioned. Good team player for many years at Avorians.
