2007 Team
This year the Postels Tour to Chiang Mai is to thank and celebrate the Pommy (English) Postels that have joined us over the years and helped us so much to be a happy group. We intend enjoying again what has been a brilliant combination from 2 very different parts of the world!
Michael “Cat” Maher / Captain
Been coming to Chiang Mai since time begun, so never knows what time it is. Loves the place, the people, the food and especially the good times.
Kenny Jackson
Long term member of the Postels Team, he is always welcomed to Chiang Mai. Always into a laugh and good joke, may have to slow down a little this year.
Jim “Ming” Chaudry
Comes from the UK to join in the Postels Fun, adds the air of (some) grace to the cause, even though really a lost cause we are.
Saurav “Dolly” Chatterjee
The spice of the team, known to bowl many a good ball. Has not hit one out of the middle of the bat for 18 months, lets see how he goes this time. Can anyone arrange to get him to sleep a little this year?
Imran “Batman” Idrees
More known for his famous Flashing Blades, as his cricket gear is top notch. Comes back to enjoy his time in Chiang Mai as a genuine nice guy.
Wayne Fontana
A first up Chiang Mai Virgin, he will certainly fit in with the many discussions held at the SugarShack Bar at nights. In fact, knowing the Postels, he may never sleep again. (What has he done with the Mindbenders? – ed.)
Brett “Kanga” Bastow
Hope to be his 3rd tour to Chiang Mai, Kanga has managed to actually play much of a season of cricket for a change in home town Perth. We look forward to seeing some on his grace on and off the field again.
Sudhir Tyagi
Another Chiang Mai Virgin who hails from Delhi. More known for his association with Ryan International in India, you may like to ask him sometime WHY he was forced out of First Class cricket in India. I am sure he would like to explain!
