2007 Team
Ray ‘Lemon‘ Matti
This famous dutch non-cricketer has taken to practising every afternoon in his back yard, unfortunately he lives on a houseboat and the wicket is a trifle sticky!
Steve ‘Duck‘ Fowler
Oh has kept Duck on a strict diet to have him peak in Chiang Mai, luckily we should have too many players, so Steve will be able to concentrate on looking for that necklace, I mean shopping with Oh.
Marty C-Head‘ Burns
Malakas star man carried the team again last year, subsequently he will probably be unable to make it this year due to severe stress fractures of the back,we hope he makes it as he will be missed both on and off the pitch if he doesn't make it.
Max ‘Animal‘ Osman
Great effort last year, managed to remain single when all the other Malakas were diving into wedlock, his cricket was pretty decent too!
Harry ‘H‘ Osman
Threatening to make his second tour to Chiang Mai, may well have cousin paul with him for support.
Richard Wybrow
took the coaches advice about an eye test, and playing in glasses had his best ever tour of chiang mai. don‘t forget them glasses!! on the subject of which.
John ‘Glasses‘ Bellinger
Proud new dad of Papua, New Guinea's tallest pygmy, should show up in time for the finals, shame we probably will be out by then!
Fatboy & Tatsy
Nobody has heard from them but we better give them a mention in case they show up!
Ben 'Ctd‘ Antes
At the time of press he is on the missing list, hopefully he will surface before the tournament as we need his lovely lady Debbie for the ladies matches, could do with his cousin Jack Russell coming to help the Malakas too!
Henryk ‘ My middle name is cheese factory‘ van Katwyck
Another doubtful starter but always worth a mention and a thank you for his continued "pas op" sponsorship even though he has sold the business.
Peter ‘Mitch‘ Mitchell
at last somebody that will definitely be there, fully recovered from his last trip to the sixes where he broke his leg keeping wicket…. not bad really as he was our star bowler/fielder.
Dom ‘Dominator‘ Byworth
One of 3 Malaka virgins this year, unknown cricket abilities, but definitely a proven Malaka when it comes to the social scene. this former Ios resident has moved up in the world lately, no he‘s not an elevator operator, he is a crane driver.
Simon ‘Simple‘ Cooksley
Dom‘s partner in debauchery a recruit snared on Ios, the Malakas spiritual home. hopefully he can play a bit as it is pretty obvious we will need him.
Nikos ‘Shooters‘ Mastaronikis
A true Malaka and a virgin to boot. Nikos runs Shooters Bar on Ios and has very limited cricket experience so he should fit in nicely, but be careful when the drinking starts this boy can quaff them with the best.
Jimmy ‘Malaka‘ Turberfield
Another doubtful starter, but you never know he might just make it with Jens and Harry, had a great 1st. tour especially with the ball. If anybody needs sports equipment especially cricket gear check out his website www.uksportswarehouse.com great selection & prices.
Chris ‘Ugly‘ Feltham
Our one and only Belgian Malaka, could this be the year he actually makes it to Thailand. May not be able to make it as he is currently in Brazil where he has fallen in love [again] with a beautiful Argie transexual. 3 stooges eat your hearts out!!
Maria ‘Lumpy‘ Pilo
This Malmo beauty will be a very popular 1st. time visitor to the Sixes, probably the no 1 Swedish female cricketer in the world, Oh shit that‘s Danish ain‘t it!
Sid ‘Marathon Man‘ Moohan
this longtime Malaka fan must be the only person in the world that would spend 2 weeks in thailand on the piss as a vital part of his training for this years london marathon. already a very hot favourite for this years Sid award, especially if Marty fails to make it.
Dag, Kenny & Klaes ‘3 stooges‘ + American John
Will all hopefully be back to swell the bar takings.
Wwe are also advised that the Marquis of Bath may well show up to perform in the veterans game so keep your eyes open for Incey.
It is with much regret that the malakas will not have Marty at this years event, but team management wasted no time at all in reclaiming SIMON PHILLBROOK from Silver State as a more than able replacement on the playing side, whether he can wake the entire hotel at 5.00 in the morning is another thing entirely!!
Sso as you may have guessed already, we really have little idea who will actually make it to the 21st edition of the Sixes, hopefully all will.
I guarantee they will all be trying their hardest to get here. and one thing you can bank on is the Malakas will be a very social bunch as always.
Thank you everybody, see you in Chiang Mai!!
