Gymkhana Cavaliers

The Year of the Horse.

Eric Little

The draft horse all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. This old stallion is on his last legs and is due for a trip to the knackery to become horse meat for some old dog. Still there may be one last good horse race left where he greets the winning post.

Chris Simmonds

This likely colt or is it the rogue horse can be seen horsing about in the stable with the fillies gamboling around in the shades of the night. It is an even money bet that his deft swats around the corner and his left handed tweekers will again be a valuable contribution to the team this year.

Phil Powell

Pie bald this type of horse that has plenty of horse power. But these can also be crazy horses and that fits the bill here because only fools and horses go where angels fear to tread. When in a tread mill he seems to go around in circles a lot going nowhere better pushing a scrum horse.

Warawut “Woody”Suttajit

Light horse wins in the one horse race as he is the only cricketing Thai teacher in the team. Where horses for courses are concerned he is the one, no horsing around here. Will again be seen energetically galloping around the boundary saving runs like a horse fly.

Eitsapap “Dam”  Deenamjeud

Shanks pony this fine specimen of a young colt will bring plenty of horse play to the team. A high stepper who will not shy away or baulk when given the ball. No short horse this boy in his first appearance in the team.

Tawat “Tor” Muangkaew

Horse hair on this clothes horse. This thorough bred is no cow boy or ringer has a lovely square gait pulls no sulky will be seen trotting around the field. Never pig roots and is odds on to wipe the field by the length of the straight.

“Mai” Auttapan Ruengsricharoenrung

A magnificent steed will jump hurdles. Plenty of horse sense from this young colt. Better beware of the left hander spin.

Richard Abbott

our brumby horse sharp on the turn, great acceleration straight line. Plenty of stamina. No rocking horse this man will give plenty this year. Maybe a little hoarse at the end of the day and ready for a gargle of the horses trough.

Peter Leming

No dobin or prancer this dark horse. May well end up as a gelding, sort of could be knackered as the saying goes, maybe it would improve his cricket as he would be couple a stone lighter. A bit of a show horse does not eat horse radish and you can get that straight from the horse’s mouth. He will have the bit between his teeth in his first year with the Cavaliers.

Peter Dawson

Dappled gray our team manager always in a gig drawn by a neat filly, never in a surrey with a fringe on top, should actually be in a dray and that could be a trap being pulled by an old draft horse. That will come soon enough, beware there may be too much horse shit flying around when he is in full gallop or on his high horse he may get sulky.

Jack Giles

A gallant supporter, our cart horse or is that cart before the horse gets nagged a bit. The last of the straight backs, not ridge back. Knows nothing about cricket however he is adaptable and can hold his licker well so should be comfortable in the Cavaliers tent. Known to have a problem with water on the golf course but never with beer.
