Ladies Challenge Trophy
Annual competition which, for the first time, has four women’s teams: two teams of Thai women, the local Chiang Mai Chassies, and an international squad. Round robin matches will be played during the week on the Sawasdee Cup field, and the Final on Saturday 4th will be played on the main pitch.
Man of the Day (MOD)
To be decided after every day's play by the Umpires in consultation with the Scorers and based on all round performance. A special Sixes' award to each of the 7 daily winners is presented at the Closing Awards Dinner.
Old Crock’s Game
The over-65's game matches the Wombat Elders Vs Chiang Mai Veterans. It's at the end of the day on Friday at 4:40pm - watch it in the gathering gloom from the safety of the Sixes Boundary Bar....
9th Sixes Sawasdee Cup
Began in 2000 as Chiang Mai Sixes' contribution to a UN - ICC world initiative, it inspired the now on-going Chiang Mai Schools Cricket Alliance (CMSCA) program to introduce cricket into Thai schools. The Sawasdee Cricket Cup now in its 9th year, plays on a field adjacent to the main Sixes, Thursday 3th - Friday 4th (See Program Supplement for details).
The Big Ten
A batsman who hits a Big 10 advertising banner with a ball on the full scores 10 runs (Chiang Mai Sixes rule), AND earns a donation of 3000 Baht from the Big Ten sponsors for the junior Thai cricket.This year we have three sponsors for the Big 10: San Miguel, Premium Tobacco, and STEC.
