Gymkhana Cavaliers team photo, 2006
The art of chivalry is not dead. The artful dodgers below a-test to their chivalrous deeds with stories untold and should not be told lest people gain the wrong impression of these gallant men.
Eric Little, Captain Sir Gallant - where white is for purity the old shiner has a full head of purity and is out for revenge this year. There will be no hold barred in attempting to win back the Spoon Trophy during the 20th Sixes. Failed miserably last year.
Chris Simmonds, Sir Galahad - is he, for sure as many a damsel has been saved from the stupidity of virginity by this so gallant a knight. Our Knight in shining armour is stealing himself for a mega performance on the field after a quite 2006. No extra curricular distractions this year, just the same old ones. Where you see the cloud of smoke you will find Chris behind the smoke screen. Where's me spinach Olive. Forget the spinach just come here Olive, Ah!
Phil Powell, A Knight Erreant - bound to be the shining light of the Cavaliers this year. His skill will add depth to the team and his expertise and night vision will be of immense help to the wayward lads of the team. Nocturnal skills are his greatest asset; probably born a wombat, he sure eats roots shoots branches and leaves. However that may hinder his early morning performances on the field.
Richard Abbott, A Knight Adventurer - a shining example of a bold bustling cricketer out to make up for lost time because of business commitments last year. Will put a lot of backbone into the team. Sure to make lots of runs.
Warawut Suttajit, a Knight Bachelor - by choice to swift to be caught. The shining beacon of the team. Always takes compass when he goes out at night so he can fine his way home. Has been practicing since last year and is primed ready to do battle. Knows all the rules now, but where are my glasses? Been known to stuff a mobile phone into pillow cases so as not to lose it, But where are my glasses?
Jatasda "Telek" Boonsuwan Master Knight a Cavalier apprentice - new to the team and Sixes the shining hope of the team in years to come. His first Sixes and a real new experience for him. Bowls well and loves to hit the ball hard so should be at home in the Sixes. Very keen to do well in with the men.
"New" a Knight Slendor - is this fine upstanding fellow. Will be the shining path for others to follow facing the challenge of being with the men. Has a great bowling action and will trouble many.
Yutapom "Fluk" Sitigow a Knight Grand - has a happy shining face with loads of hustle and bustle will front up with the men for his first Sixes. The heavy weight of the team and our enforcer, treat him kindly.
Cavaliers team supporters:
Maurice Bromley, our Knight Enforcer - reserve player. Mr. Mobile always has that little gadget stuck to his ear.
Peter Dawson - team Manager and procurer of fine things Mr. Scoreboard. All is visible.
Peter Simmonds - "I'll tell you something."
