It is a great pleasure to welcome once again the many participants, sponsors, and others involved in staging this year’s 19th Chiang Mai International Cricket Sixes. It is a testament to the popularity of your tournament that you have managed to sustain it and even make it stronger over those years when economic downturn, regional unrest, terrorism and disease have seemed to threaten its success. This year the destruction caused by triple flooding of our 108 year-old Gymkhana Club ground,  has been repaired in time for you to play, thanks in large part to some timely and strenuous volunteer efforts.

You are all to be congratulated and thanked once again for your efforts to support the growth of junior cricket in Thailand. This 7th year for the Chiang Mai Sawasdee Cricket Cup helps to display the success of the program among local school children.

 To all Sixes participants, I hope that whether this is your very first visit to Chiang Mai or your nineteenth holiday here, you will enjoy a super week of sport and friendship.
