Jamesons Malakas

Jamesons Malakas 2005STEVE (YORKY) FOWLER
"The Duck's" eleventh consecutive tour and experienced a fair amount of success, some of it at cricket!! Worth a place in the side if only for his slick fielding. Very much looking forward to the main ceromony when the Aussie boys hand over their money for foolishly betting against England in the Ashes series!!! The urn sits nicely with our Rugby World Cup trophy.

MAX ( ANIMAL ) OSMAN
Might be a little lost without his brother Donny this year. Now semi- retired back home he might be able to enjoy himself. Has gone back to the business class section of the Pornping after being upset at the state of the upholstery in the penthouse suite. Hoping to be a little quicker between the stumps to avoid another duck.

KIM ( WIDE BOY ) FLETCHER
A rule change this year is that there will be 2 drinks-breaks in Malakas games, preferably both during Kim's over. He is looking forward to his 2nd trip having missed last year with work commitments. Anybody visiting Pattay must pop into Kim's Jamesons Bar to have a post tour chat over the cricket ( if he's finished his over).

RAY ( LEMON ) MATTI
The Tour Manager is back heading the team after an illness that stopped him drinking for a couple of days. Will be keen to keep the gloves, at least then we won't have an over longer than Kim's. I'm sure if he'd played in our final game last year we could have got 5 ducks.

STEVE (TATZ) TATZCENKO
Tatz has been coming here since it was Siam. His maturity, knowledge, experience, cricketing skills and that wise old head are all totally useless as he is normally ratted 24 hours a day! A true Malakas legend.

MARTI ( HYENA ) BURNS
Same surname as the upholster in the penthouse suite. Won't have to spend his usual Chiang Mai nights doing his laundry and tidying the room because the wife will be with him. Spred betting is on 3 games before he gets his "injury". All pommies welcome to the Malakas tent to chat with Marti about the ashes series.

JOHN (GLASS'S) BELLINGER
A welcome return for the big man and a bigger welcome from all the local bars that he is back. Adds some pace to the attack and style to the batting even if he normally takes 5 overs to get off the mark. One tip when drinking
with the G is to make sure you know which glass is yours.

RICK (DUCK) WIDLOW
Made a successful debut last year and must have enjoyed it because of his return. Spearheads our pace attack but current holder of the duck. Not so suprising as he makes Chris Tavare look like a natural to the 20/20 game.

SID (MICK) MOOHAN
A loyal Malakas supporter and sure one year to get a game if we turn up with 3 players. Hot favourite for the Sid Award (just go for a McDonalds with him). Sees the odd bit of cricket in between walking back and forward to the food stall.

DAG (ELTON) BLOMQVIST
Diplomatic entry for Dag this year as he is bringing the trouble and strife. We are used to seeing him walking into bars like the Pied Piper. I think he will just be happy to be walking into bars this year. Please no Elton jokes for our rocket man !!

TERRY ( MY DEAL ) SKILLETT
Boosted the bar takings last year by forcing anybody that walked within 5 yards of the bar to get a drink down their throat. Chilling out this year spending time round the pool in the hammocks and playing cards in fact we probably wont even know he's there!!

KENNY (SVEN) GORAN
The one thing safe with Kenny's long awaited return is the local women. He thought an adam's apple was a women with a cox's (pippin) in her mouth. The big cheerful Swede will keep all happy in the bars.

DAVE (DONKEY) STUBBS
Relegated to the subs bench with the return of some old faithfuls. Could have been so different if Yorky's full length diving attempt had held onto his hat-trick ball last year. It will mean his equipment will be available so we might go down the rapids in his box.

CHRIS ( JOHNO ) JOHNSON
Still managed to make the trip despite getting married and bringing a bit of Thailand to England. Will be experiencing fatherhood again this year, looking forward to the child's first words, probably "hello granddad". Made a good sub last year because of Mitch's demise.

PETE (MITCH) MITCHELL
Not sure if Mitch can make it this year but who cares after refusing to play in the second game last year just because he broke his ankle. Tart!!

I'm sure there will be many more supporters and all are welcome to pop into our hut for a beer and some abuse. Lets all look forward to another successful tournament and good luck to everybody involved.
