Peter Dawson, Team Manager and procurer of fine things. Mr. Cricket management. The greatest paper shuffler around. Don't blame the natives for the deforestation up here. Blame Dawson for the reams of paper he uses. Can he top last year effort another mug for the team and two out of three years?
Chris Simmonds, Old "Popeye" is back in the saddle with more than his eyes popped. It is doubtful whether he can produce the outstanding performances of last year. His new filly is taking all his attention and energy. The mind will be willing enough, but the body who knows?
Maurice Bromley, when push comes to shove he is our man. After last year effort in the final he is already in training and has been seen rolling the arm over and swishing the willow around. Expected to be in great fettle this year.
Peter Simmonds, our lost sheep has returned from the wilderness in better shape than ever. But has the layoff affected his prowess. Sure the guile will be there. Some good net practise should tune him up for a magnificent return to form. Will check with his stable! Many a fancy filly is seen around this likely lad. Performs best after dusk, like an owl he doesn't give a hoot, or does he?
Eric Little, Captain old fox. The "Old" mudslinger was really in his element with the huge volume of silt that covered the whole Gymkhana grounds. Anyone that has milked more than 100 cows knows a lot about shoveling. Sure to lead again from the back as the new young guns revel in their added responsibility.
Warawut Suttajit, bounced well last year and with that experience behind him will perform much better. Really loves his cricket and works hard at practise. However his big Friday nights will have to be put on hold for a couple of weeks so that he can give his best.
Jirayu "Tee" Inthajak our most traveled International cricketer, having been to five different countries playing with different Thailand under age teams. Much sort after by teams in higher divisions so may play in another team this year and will be sorely missed.
Suranya "Orf" Janai burst into prominence last year with a couple of great batting performances. His bowling will be much more penetrating this year so watch him dominate the crease. Most feared in the nets with his powerful straight drives.
Natinan "Bank" Supartakul, the keenest cricketer, always wants to bat for hours in the nets. Is maturing to be a very handy cricketer and has now a couple of International appearances and is making a name for himself. Will be better for last years experience in the SIXES.
Parnupong "Tong" Parinyaruk could do well this year if he can stay on his motor bike. Has already experienced an altercation with a car at his tender young age. Boys grow up quick here. Should keep wickets again this year and will make runs with his aggressive style.
Supporters Club:
Michael Berbae, "Mr. Happy" ending has quickly learnt about cricket, drinking and making merry. Pity his golf has not kept up the same pace of learning, well below par, but eagle and birdie eyed for sure.
Graham "Horatio" Brown, his fore pars are legendary. Always remember to turn your mobile phone off after you have taken a call when in a place where you shouldn't be. The naughty bits may be overheard. Embarrassing, what!
