- Ladies Challenge Trophy– annual grudge competition between visiting Dixie Belles ( mainly from down-under where the men are tough and the women are even tougher) Vs Chiang Mai Chassies (the undefeated champs), Best of 3 matches (2 played during the week on the Sawasdee Cup field, and Final on Saturday 8th – 12:05 on the main pitch) Two submissions or a knock-out decide the winners.....
- The Big Ten – A batter who hits a Big 10 Advertising Sign with a ball on the fly, scores 10 runs ( Chiang Mai Sixes rule), AND earns a donation of 3000 Baht from the sponsors STEC for the junior Thai cricket development fund.
- Stars Challenge Trophy – on Sat. 8th , between a ‘Best of the Rest” team Vs Sri Lankan All Stars.
- Junior Hardball Exhibition Match (Sat.8th at 11:40AM) – graduates of the Sawasdee Cricket program now get regular coaching in the hardball game. And some have already represented Thailand in competition. This Sixes exhibition match between two teams of Chiang Mai boys will help show progress being made in Thai junior cricket development.
- Boyz vs Spoonies (Thurs 6th at 16: 30 ) – are they ready to move up a grade ? The junior hardball cricketers get a gentle taste of adult cricket challenging this year’s top Spoon team.
- Man of the Day (MOD) to be decided after every day’s play by the Umpires in consultation with the Scorers and based on all round performance. A special Sixes’ award to each of the 7 daily winners will be presented at Closing Awards Dinner.
- Old Crocks Game – everyone gets a bat and a bowl at the Chiang Mai Sixes. The over-65’s game matches the Bullengarook Seniors Vs Chiang Mai Fossils. It’s the last match of the day on Thursday – watch it in the gathering gloom from the safety of the Sixes Boundary Bar....
- 7th Sixes Sawasdee Cup – Began in 2000 as Chiang Mai Sixes’ contribution to a UN - ICC world initiative, it inspired the now on-going Chiang Mai Schools Cricket Alliance (CMSCA) program to introduce cricket into Thai schools. Over 40 local junior schools have been introduced to Sawasdee Cricket. Thai children have shown quick mastery and enjoyment of the basic skills of cricket. The Sawsdee Cricket Cup now in its 7th year, plays on a field adjacent to the main Sixes, Wednesday 5th – Fri 7th (See Program Supplement for more details or view this page)
