Clive Huggins (Silver Fox)
Opens batting and is called upon to bowl - in 2nd XI cricket. Fortunately
club side Avorians in Surrey UK do not have a 3XI ! Been on a few overseas
cricket tours so reckons he knows the ropes especially as now admits that
he won't see 55 again
Jerry Hinds (Caveman)
Professes to be a new slim lined version of his normal generous self. It is
to be hoped that this loss of weight will not affect his cricket swing nor
his amazing ability in the field. Bats too low and doesn't bowl enough
(self quote) yet somehow manages to make Avorians 1st XI.
Paul Prichard (Pricho)
Now plays some Minor County cricket in the UK but is really one of the boys
at Avorians where he performs with much aplomb with the bat. Enjoyed his
tour to Chiang Mai in 2004 and hopes to continue where he left off but will
perhaps give the lighted lanterns a miss this year.
Jamie Lawrence (Nipper)
The team virgin. Another Avorians Ist team player Enjoys batting but has
more ability as an opening bowler of some pace. Will need guidance from his
role model (Caveman) on how to conduct himself in the evenings and where he
should do so.
Cameron Eve (Evil)
Last minute choice for 2004 but enjoyed himself so much he has insisted on
being selected again. Plays cricket to a high standard in Sydney and has
had a previous connection while in the UK with Avorians. Another opening
bowler but is lobbying to bat higher than Nipper and the Silver Fox.
Mark Higgs (The Pirate or Schiggs)
Plays a bit in South Australia. Has been known to both bat and bowl. Could
have made a name for himself other than the one he's got (watch the left
eye after a jug or two) if he had not spent a year as the 'Overseas' at
Avorians which was great for the club but 'apres cricket' didn't do much
for the Pirate.
