SILVER STATE
CRICKET CLUB

Silver State Cricket Club was formed 13 years ago by a group of boys who grew up together as kids playing cricket. Today the club has got a home ground with probably the largest cricket junior development program in Malaysia. There are about 500 kids from 23 schools.

This will be SSCC's 10th year in Chiang Mai and we would like to take this opportunity to firstly congratulate the organizers and secondly wish you all the best for another super
sixes in 2004.

BALACHANDRAN
This will be Balachandran's 5th tour of the CM 6s. He made a big impact last year for a few reasons both on and off the field. Firstly he captained Silver State for the first time in CM and took them to the finals of the plate or was it the bowl. Known as a hard hitting batsman and a reliable bowler, he took a bet last year and dyed his hair first green and then red during the tournament.

Offered to play for the CM Chassies team this year but was told that he will need to wear a skirt and shave his legs to do so. Consistently carries his bat at the Sugar Shack with his batting partner Sitha, they are looking to complete a double century this year.

He broke his shoulder 6 months ago and is just making a Cricket come back. Bala will donate 5000 Baht to the Children's Cricket if any bowler can get him out first ball.

SITHARATHER (SITHA)
Mr Cool, Mr Happening, The Bad Boy, these are just some of the names that Sitha goes by. He is the batting partner for Bala at the Sugar Shack and is known to drink the bar dry of Tequila.

Sitha is a mean bowler but is hoping that Bala does not Captain the side because he did not get to bat last year.

Sitha is also making a come back to Cricket after breaking his foot playing Futsal or so he say. We suspect it was more like footsie and he injured while making a quick getaway. CM beware, Sitha is back with a vengeance .

AKBARUDDIN RAJ (JR)
The year 2004 will see Akbar in CM after missing for two years. He feels save now to return after 2 years. They probably have called off the hunt for him.

Akbar is a mean bowler and a super fielder but will need a massage after every game to get fit again for the next. He plans to also get in some golf during the week.

With Sitha, Bala and Akbar, the Sugar Shack will definitely need to stock-up on the booze otherwise there are going to be some really disappointed customers unless you like water.

JAROD LOPEZ (J-LO)
Jarod has been the Club Cricket Captain in the domestic league for the last few years. A very good bat and is also useful as a bowler.

Also known as J-Lo (how we wish for the real thing), Jarod is be making his second tour to CM. Always well groomed be it on the field of off, Jarod is smooth and the ladies be prepared to be swept off your feet.

CONRAD YOUNG (CHINA MAN)
Conrad has been to nearly every one of Silver State's tours to CM. Known as the Old Man of CM and also The Mayor of CM.

He hits the ball very hard and now trying to make a name as a bowler as well. There has been a request by him to have a single room and this has solved a lot of problems because nobody wanted to be his roommate. He has this nasty habit of waking up at 6.00am in the morning.

Conrad knows all the best eating spots in CM and that is the only reason he is on the tour.

M. RUEBAN (RUBY)
Rueban is the Clubs first choice wicket keeper and his also now proving to be a reliable bat as well. A besides Conrad, Rueban will be the second lawyer in the team, so Silver State should be able to get out of any trouble should the need arise.

Rueban has offered his legal services free for any of the ladies willing to buy him a drink at the Sugar Shack. He will be setting up office at the third table left of the entrance.
