Team at 2003 Sixes
Karl Pearson
A very talented all rounder who plays Minor Counties cricket for Herefordshire.
Now foot-loose and fancy free again, so it is an ideal time for him to
visit Chiang Mai. Reputed to play it very hard both on and off the field.
Ben Gannon
A tall fast bowler, who has played 1st class cricket for both Gloucestershire
and Middlesex. Earned his spurs with the Gipsies in Tangiers and impressed
the management well enough to be offered a trip further afield. Reputed
to be trying to get closer to his spiritual side so no doubt he will be
visiting the temple daily.
Paul Lazenbury
The Captain of the title-holding Gipsies and the newly appointed Captain
of Bourton Vale C.C. He will no doubt be on the same generous bonuses
from his boss, Mr Collett, whether he leads Bourton to a title or whether
he sells the odd Fiesta or two!
David Terrington
Junior Terrors, who was a Supermarket Trainee Manager when he last toured,
is now a schoolmaster and no doubt will be seeking a job in the private
sector just to please his Dad, who was the first ex-grammar school boy
to chair the annual Gipsy Meeting. The holder of the best-dressed player
(or was it worst?) and no doubt he will be competing strongly for that
title again.
Jason Edgeworth
Appointed the Press Officer for the teams as he is now working on a local
newspaper in Cheltenham. Nicknamed "Edgie" due to his
shyness with the fairer sex, although it is an appropriate name for the
part of the bat that he appears to prefer.
Mark Whitney
A talented left-hand batsman, who plays for Bourton Vale C.C. Did he
actually vote for Lazers to be Captain?? Perhaps he did if he wants to
open the batting next season?
