World Womans Dixie Belles 2004

Tracy "Sister" Thorgersen - Captain
Has been working on plans on how to upset the Cheeky Chiang Mai Chassies since last years narrow loss in the final. Was very gracious in defeat in downing around a dozen cocktails after the final. Is said to have been doing some solid training in the heat and humidity of Broome.

Kyleen "Party Girl" Ashman
Is the support player behind Sister in this years bid for the Chiang Mai Womans Trophy. Will lead the team in the most important Boat Race Challenge. Will also be working on getting those Chassies mind off the job.

Debbie "Budgirl" Rogers
The Marathon Girl has learnt a lot about cricket since last year and is biting at the bit to get amongst it this year. So what, if she happens to feel that the game is the same as baseball and tends to bend the arm a little. Another very experienced beer drinker who will put much pressure on in the Boat Race Challenge.

Nancy "Baywatch" Worden
Has been affected greatly by the wind chill factor over the past few months in Montreal, so is sure to come out in a very positive frame of mind when it comes to the heat of battle in Chiang Mai. By goodness those beers will go down well at training.

Kim Shaw
Learnt a lot from last years series of matches and is keen to go the next level in her attempt to help the Dixie Belles create havoc on the field. Has worked hard on her technique and solid defence, just wait until she starts playing some shots on the ground and in the Boat Race Challenge.

Khun Sow
A keen cricket coach in Thailand, who is a welcome newcomer to the Dixie Belles team. Will be able to assist us with suggestions on local conditions and tactics. Her boat race skills are unknown.

Neil Billing and Paul Lack - Coaches
These gentlemen will again be keenly assisting the Dixie Belles with improving their batting, bowling, fielding and drinking skills throughout the week. They had great success last year and are keen to go the next step and to bring home the title.

Michael "Cat" Maher
Will again be assisting the girls wherever he can in their quest for the Holy Grail, the Chiang Mai Woman's title for 2004. Just so happens that he also enjoys having a drink or two, so as this is very social, why not be involved.

Silver State Cricket Club
After Paul, Bala, Siva and Co's effort last year, I am sure that they will be adding their bit of Malaysian flare and humour to the Dixie Belles and supporting in all ways. Rumour has it that Bala will not just be dyeing his hair this year, he MAY be making a guest appearance for the Dixie Belles?????

PLEASE NOTE!!!!!
Any woman who are interested in joining the team, please approach the Postels Group at the Opening Cocktails night or in the Postels Hut at the ground and ask for Sister or Cat. You will be most welcome to join the W.W.Dixie Bells!!
