Bangkok Postels

Bangkok Postels
Team at 2003 Sixes

Mark "Doctor" Thorgersen - Captain (Broome, Australia)
A Bangkok Postels Legend, who has made many friends since 1997 in Chiang Mai, especially late at night. Well known for his one-liners and general humour during tours. Is also a person who really enjoys getting to know the locals! Eight time in C/Mai.

Cyrus "Vyrus" Maybud (Vice-Captain) - (Zouz, Switzerland)
Is the legal link of the Postels and much needed from time to time during any tour. Is able to enthuse the team to the point where they manage to get a team for each game (with some trouble at times). Fourth time Postels C/Mai tourist and fifth time in all.

Richard "Richie Rich" Sulway - (Perth, Australia)
Welcome back to the most valuable Postels Treasurer! A man, who enjoys the food and beer on tour in Chiang Mai, is keenly looking forward to some on field action in 2004. He and Boss have recently had a welcome addition to their family, a baby boy, no doubt a Postel Tourist of the future. Is Richie's seventh Postel C/Mai tour.

Vinod "Cookie" Balani - (Chiang Mai, Thailand)
Our special local player who helps out whenever we need him. Has been a keen contributor to the Postels for many years and we love to see him each year. Well known for his keen appreciation for wine and of course good Indian food. Seventh time C/Mai Postel.

Daniel "7 - 11" Way - (Perth, Australia)
A first timer to the Chiang Mai Sixes, he is very eager to learn about the cities culture and nightlife. Will he be influenced and led by Docs general night and day skills, or will it be Vyrus and his European touch? Either way he is very much looking forward to it all. First year "Virgin" Postel.

Gary "Bonehead" Davies - (Singapore / South Africa)
Well known for his time in Shanghai and Singapore with the CBB's, he is destined to cause havoc with the Bangkok Postels. Very keen on forming an impression in the team and will go to whatever means that may be needed. A First year Postel "Virgin", third time C/Mai.

John "Biscuits" Wright - (Perth / Australia)
Seems to have a liking for watermelons, especially when vodka is involved. Word is that he is keen to meet the Whale for a few local tips on melons of all type. First time visitor to Thailand, he is keen to get to know as many locals as possible. A first year "Virgin" Postel in C/Mai.

Doug "Popstar" Hedley - (Perth, Australia)
The general Mr fix-it man of the tour, much needed with us lot. Was touring the city last year with 007 and did not manage to get through an intersection properly in the Tuk-Tuk. Loved the food, beer and song last year and will definitely get over to visit Swinging Times at the Hammocks again this year. A second year Postel tourist to C/Mai.

Todd "Big-guy" Stewart - (Singapore / Australia)
We are hoping that the big-guy will be able to pitch up for the sixes, as we know that he will make a huge impact on the team, the tournament, the CBB AGM, Whales party and Chiang Mai generally. Looking good fella! First time Postels "Virgin".

Tracy "Sister" Thorgersen - (Broome, Australia)
Sis is a pleasure to tour with! She raises money for the tour in her own time (with Cougar) and is always so keen to help in any way that she can. Enjoys it all; shopping, partying, the people and sorts out the social section of the tour. Fourth tour to Chiang Mai.

Kyleen "Party Girl" Ashman - (Broome, Australia)
Is keen to party and to enjoy the fun of the Chiang Mai Sixes with us all. From all accounts will be still going on Thursday and Friday, when many others have had enough. Will assist Sister with the Dixie Belles team in the Woman's Challenge Series. A first time Postel "Virgin"
