Spoon Competition Group

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

All matches (except the Finals) are played in pairs. So, the first innings (Batting) of Match A is followed by the first innings (Batting) of Match B. Then the 2nd innings of Match A is played, followed by the 2nd for Match B, and so on...

ROUND 1

4 groups (A, B, C, D) of 4 teams play internally, 2 groups (E, F) of 3 teams, each play the teams from the other group .

ROUND 2

CUP - 3 groups of 3, comprising 6 group winners from Round 1 + 3 best runners-up:

BOWL - 3 groups of 3, comprising : 3 remaining runners-up from Round 1 + 4 third placed teams from groups A-D from Round 1 + 2 teams with the best records from the 4th placed teams of groups A-D and the 3rd placed teams of groups E & F:

BOWL GROUPS

PLATE - the 4 remaining teams will compete round-robin in a single group, the top 2 teams in which then progress direct to the final. Teams are designated P1, P2, P3 & P4 on the fixture list.

ROUND 3 (Semi - Finals)

CUP : 3 winners of Round 2 groups + the best Round 2 runner-up progress to the semi-finals.
BOWL : 3 winners of Round 2 groups + the best Round 2 runner-up progress to the semi-finals.

ROUND 4 - Finals in all Competitions

SPOON COMPETITION

Round 1: 7 teams in 1 Group each play 4 other teams.
The team finishing top of the Round 1 Spoon group will progress directly to the semi-finals. The other 6 teams will play quarter-finals - the draw for the quarter-finals will be arranged as far as possible to ensure that teams do not meet a team they played in Round 1. The 3 quarter-final winners to the semi-finals.
