BANGKOK POSTELS 2003

Bangkok Postels
Team at 2002 Sixes

Mark "Doctor" Thorgersen (Captain)

A very keen Postel who adds some sparkle to the touring team. Played some nice innings for the Bangkok team past year. (A Swiss Postel)

Norman "Cowboy" Bowman

His experience goes back to primary school and concrete pitches. Loves Thailand, but more used to sailing in Phuket! Will make an impact at the bars!

Douglas "Rocky" Hedley

A master of many things, so this time playing cricket in Chiang Mai, we will see? Hope to get him up for a song or two on tour.

Gavin "Postie" Heydon

Cricket, why not he said. Is very keen to follow in T/Bags footsteps in the back streets of Chiang Mai.

Mark "Doctor" Thorgersen

The Bangkok Postels Legend who has made many friends since 1997 in Chiang Mai. Has a particularly good relationship with the bars of the city. (Broome Postel)

Simon "Gilly"

New Bangkok Postel who will bolster the already tall team, seeing he is 6 foot 4 inches. Known for his pace and swing bowling, especially in the bar where he has been known to have a keen interest by bowling a maiden over! Will no doubt fall into the groove of the team nicely. The Doctor and Sister have trained him up at the Broome Stud, he will possibly draw a barrier, with odds on favourite of 3 to 1, race 5, Heavy Track! (Another Broome Postel)

Vinod "Cookie" Balani

Our special local player who has stopped cooking and is selling old things! We love him in the squad. (A Thai Postel)

Kevin "Beags" Beaglehole

A lawn bowls and Aussie rules fan, who hints that he actually plays cricket quite well, but certainly no doubt on enjoying the beers.

Benny

May be making his much awaited comeback in the Postels colours, but certainly will mentally support the team, from the SugarShack side.

Supporters

Tracy "Sister" Thorgersen

Captain of woman's All-star team this year and a fantastic Postel by raising money during the year. A very dedicated Postel, who like her brother Doc, has a heart of gold. Also enjoys her time out on the nightlife with the Postels crew. (Yet another Broome Postel)

Oi

A wonderful friend of the Postels, who again will be supplying an excellent supporter base from the SugarShack Bar in downtown Chiang Mai.

Amy "Brazillia" Power

A Postel Virgin of the touring party. A no frills girl, who is on her Maiden Over! Has been known to wax a ball or two. Has been training heavily for this tour. Has an eye for the centre stump. Rates well with the gang, a trained Filly from Broome, stud carrying BIG top end weight, but an odds on favourite. Drawn a wide barrier, but should fly home on the straight. (You guessed it, another Broome Postel)

Vanessa

The better half of Beags, here to enjoy Thailand and also to relax. As we all know, impossible to do here at the Chiang Mai Sixes??
