| Matt Luton: Kiteboys manager
and entertainments director, only seen to best effect after dark, though may
yet feature in an on field capacity following his dramatic bowling feats in
Hua Hin last year in his first appearance on a cricket field since 1988.
William Whiteside-McFadden: On his third visit to the Sixes and entrusted
with the inaugural captaincy of the Kiteboys on the strength of his achievements
in two previous tournaments, which have principally involved losing airline
tickets and falling off motorbikes. He will be re-donning the gloves this
year following his calamitous attempts at being a fast bowler last year (very
fast off the bat).
Sam Whiteside-McFadden: 'Chucky' - so named because of his dubious
bowling action and his physical and temperamental resemblance to the psychopathic
devil doll of Child's Play - is the Kiteboys' secret weapon. As he is on his
first tour to the Sixes, his big brother will be looking after him. Fortunately
we have enough in the kitty to pay his bail.
Nick Knight: Sadly not THE Nick Knight, though he would dispute that,
being a renowned Thespian who is still smarting from the Academy's outrageous
decision to overlook him for Oscar nomination for his unforgettable role as
'Posh Fat Elf' in The Santa Clause. Expected to challenge Viking in terms
of culinary intake.
Daniel Shaw: Southern hemisphere Kiteboy whose youthfulness will
come in handy given that the remaining Kiteboys' lifestyles render them rather
more jaded than their actual age would imply.
Robert Bromley: A shrewd signing for the Kiteboys following his award
of Rookie of the Tournament last year, although we have had to promise the
Tournament Director that we will have him home by 9 o'clock - which will make
life a bit tricky if the first match is at half past eight.
